California Launch Vehicle Initiative (CALVEIN) 2013-2015

Lay-Ups: A manufacturing technique for creating composite materials by layering reinforcement fabrics and resin to achieve a desired thickness.

I impregnated carbon fiber with epoxy making the body of the rocket, nose-cone, and bulkheads.

I also impregnated the silica engine chamber with phenolic resin to produce an ablative engine chamber for our bi-propellent rocket.
