I was responsible for creating tooling, fixtures, and assembly instructions for Ellie while on teh assembly line. Specifically the hinges seen on the image above needed to be installed by one assembler so I made a fixture to hold both the main housing and the door so the assembler can use a 3D printed tool I made to attached the hinges. This meant the assembler weant from trying to juggle 4 components the housing, door, hinge pin, and tool to try and install hinges to just holding the tooling I made and the hinge pin while the fixture holds the housing and door at the correct alignment.
